Operated by the Mater Hospital, the residential program is for young people between the age of 13 and 19 who live in Queensland and would like to make some positive changes to their substance use.
The landscape of this facility provides an important role in providing outdoor spaces for recreation. This allows users to congregate and socialise in a secure environment with carers.
The site includes a significant landscape component including:
- outdoor break out spaces for users
- recreational areas including a half sized basketball court
- deck areas and raised planters
- streetscape designed in accordance with Brisbane City Council streetscape requirements.
Citicene were engaged with BVN Architects to deliver this facility.
ADAWS is an Adolescent Drug and Alcohol Withdrawal Service based in South Brisbane and is a service that assists Adolescents to break free from substance use.
