This high level care facility is designed around a central courtyard and recreational outdoor space. Providing a high level of care for residents, the outdoor spaces provide a private environment for those needing the best of care.

The large central space is the primary outdoor area and links to a circuit around the perimeter of the site.

The landscape includes gazebos, circuit walking paths, private seating areas, sub-tropical species selection and private individual gardens for residents as well as water features and turf areas.

There are also raised planter beds to give residents the opportunity to participate in creating vegetable gardens as part of outdoor activities.

Any successful landscape design carefully incorporates access and mobility issues that are important to the end user in this case – the elderly.
