McDonald’s Restaurants incorporate a contemporary landscape character reflecting McDonald’s architectural and interior language.

The landscape communicates environmental awareness through design solutions. As an example, where possible, Water Sensitive Urban Design Principles (WSUD) are adopted across all McDonald’s sites.

Successful WSUD solutions amongst many things achieve:

  • reduction in the cost providing and maintaining water related infrastructure
  • more efficient use of water resources
  • improved water quality
  • reduction of flood risk in urban areas.

Citicene have participated in the delivery of numerous new McDonald’s Restaurants around Queensland.

Good landscape and water sensitive urban design are a critical component of delivering a more sustainable response and integration of these principles help to ensure the outcomes are achieved.
