redefining shopping hubs through landscaping

Burpengary Plaza, a thriving mid-sized shopping centre, has undergone an exciting transformation to offer an elevated retail experience. The updated centre now features a Woolworths supermarket, Kmart, around 50 tenancies, a lively food court, and two banks, creating a dynamic hub for shopping and services that serves the local community.

The plaza’s revitalization includes expanded car parking with space for approximately 981 cars, ensuring convenient access for shoppers. Additionally, the centre has welcomed a Kmart Tyre and Auto Service Centre and two brand-new retail buildings facing Station Road, further boosting its attractiveness and accessibility.

landscape design and urban integration

Citicene, commissioned by DeLuca Corporation, was instrumental in delivering the landscape documentation and approval process. The updated design focuses on sustainability and aesthetic appeal, incorporating modern pavement treatments, streetscape enhancements, car park shade trees, garden beds, and storm water filtration systems.

These improvements create a welcoming and eco-friendly environment that enhances the overall shopping experience.

sustainability and community engagement

The plaza’s new landscaping strategy not only improves the aesthetic and functional qualities of the space but also supports environmental sustainability. By integrating green spaces and storm water management systems, the centre promotes a healthier environment while providing a pleasant atmosphere for visitors. The project highlights the importance of creating spaces that serve both the retail needs and the broader community’s connection to nature.
