You will have experience in delivering commercial projects to a high standard, negotiating with all types of stakeholders and the ability to lead others.

The Role

The primary purpose of the role is to manage various client projects and deliver design solutions on time and on budget to the highest possible quality standard, according to the scope of work.

The role also requires superior stakeholder engagement and communication skills to ensure client satisfaction is high while also maintaining strong project management and time management skills to produce innovative landscapes that reflect positively on the Citicene brand.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong relationships with all clients and stakeholders
  • Take full responsibility for the quality and delivery of your work
  • The ability to produce high quality landscape deliverables with a high degree of attention to detail is required
  • Leadership in supervising and/or training junior staff when required

Core competencies – technology

  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign & Acrobat)
  • Proficient in Sketch up desirable – but not essential
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., EXCEL, Word, Outlook & Teams)

Qualifications

  • Registered Landscape Architect preferred – but not essential
  • A relevant accredited tertiary qualification in Landscape Architecture

Core competencies – general skills

  • Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver projects efficiently
  • High degree of attention to detail, ability to review own work and that of others
  • Superior communication skills to handle client, colleague and/or stakeholder interactions
  • A proactive team player with a ‘can do attitude’ who enjoys collaboration
  • Strong work ethic with the desire to learn and contribute to the team
  • A self-starter who can work efficiently without supervision and effectively problem solve
  • Punctual, reliable, trustworthy, and professional at all times

Work Experience

  • At least 8 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Mentoring junior staff on best practice in landscape architecture
